John Felix

John is an undergraduate student studying bioengineering. His research interests revolve around the environmental applications of bioengineering as well as environmental justice and sustainability more broadly. John is currently working in the Dinneny lab, learning to use a robotic platform, GLO-Bot, to scan images of plant root systems and track their growth and development over time to understand plant responses to external stress conditions. Outside of research he is passionate about supporting first-generation and low-income students here at Stanford and he has worked on a team for Stanford's Equity and Inclusion Initiatives. He also enjoys music, hanging out with friends, and spending time outside.
