Simya Smith

Simya is majoring in Earth Systems on the Oceans, Atmosphere, and Climate track, and she is passionate about understanding how climate change impacts vulnerable communities, as well as bridging the gap in science communication. Through research, community outreach, and interdisciplinary collaboration, she hopes to find solutions to the existential crisis we face as global temperatures continue to rise. In her free time Simya loves to read romcoms, make matcha, and listen to podcasts about sustainability and Traditional Ecological Knowledge.
