Symposia of Undergraduate Research and Public Service (SURPS)
The Symposia of Undergraduate Research and Public Service are opportunities for Stanford undergraduates to present the results (including results in progress) of their faculty-mentored scholarly projects across all disciplines.
Two poster sessions are held each year: SURPS (in conjunction with Reunion Homecoming Weekend in October) and ASURPS (in conjunction with Admit Weekend in April).
The events offer the chance for students to share their projects with varied audiences, including fellow students, Stanford faculty, alumni, and prospective students.
Space is limited, and not all students can be accommodated.
Learn more at the SURPS website.
Thesis Medals
Each year Undergraduate Research recognizes the most outstanding undergraduate honors theses in each discipline. These theses are selected by a combination of departmental faculty and the deans of the undergraduate schools. Students are awarded a medal and cash prize at a ceremony taking place Commencement Weekend. For more information contact vpue-medals@stanford.edu.
